Cause: The robot timed out waiting for the backup close detect input. This input indicates that the gun has reached the backup close position. Remedy: Check the gun operation and sensor states. Check the Equipment I/O menu and verify signal status, as well as the equipment I/O wiring. Using the teach pendant: 1. Press I/O. 2. Press F1, [TYPE]. 3. Select Spot Equip. If the input is going high, try increasing the timeout by increasing the Backup close detect signal setting. This signal can be set from the Spot Config menu at Controlled start. The default value is 2000 ms, or 2 seconds.
