Official Troubleshooting Steps
The vacuum switch “Contact manometer filter drum“ on the VRF coolant system has been activated 4 times within 2 minutes and initiated “Back flushing“. Filter drum is dirty. The machine will be stopped at the next Rapid feed (G0) or end of program. The coolant pumps are switched off. 1. Switch off the vacuum pump immediately for self-protection against excessively high negative pressure. 2. Check filter drum (dirt, etc.). 3. Check the vacuum switch "Contact manometer filter drum“ and the PLC input signal. 4. As soon as the malfunction has been remedied, press [DELETE ERROR] or [CYCLE START] key. Message is cleared and the machining program can be continued. The filter drum can also be rinsed with the flushing pump for cleaning purpose. With service function M88 and M195 (ON) or M196 (OFF). The vacuum switch “Contact manometer filter drum“ on the VRF coolant system has been activated. Cause 1: VRF drum dirty: Cause 2: Defective manometer: The PLC input signal “Contact manometer filter drum“ is not present. The pressure switch appears to be defective. The machine will be stopped at the next Rapid feed (G0) or end of program. The coolant pumps are switched off. 1. Switch off the vacuum pump immediately for self-protection against excessively high negative pressure. 2. Check the vacuum switch "Contact manometer filter drum“ and the PLC input signal. 3. Once the pressure switch signals OK again (signal state = 1), press the [DELETE ERROR] or [CYCLE START] key. Message is cleared and the machining program can be continued.
