The Chiron Siemens-Control CNC has triggered a critical Safety clutch chip spiral disengaged alarm. Immediate attention from a qualified operator or maintenance technician is required to prevent secondary damage to the equipment or spoiled parts during the manufacturing cycle. Always ensure standard safety and LOTO procedures are followed before accessing electrical cabinets.
Official Troubleshooting Steps
The safety coupling on the chip screw is triggered. (Possible cause: blocking with chips, etc.) PLC input signal "Chip screw coupling“ is not present. The error message appears, and the chip screw actuation is removed immediately. The key LED [Engage chip screw coupling] flashes Feed Stop after end of program (Program end with M02, M30 or change work area / table side) 1. Check freedom of movement of chip screw. 2. Press the [Engage chip screw coupling] key. The chip screw coupling is engaged again. Error messages Cooling lubrication Safety clutch chip spiral disengaged The chip screw also runs when the protective doors are opened. This monitoring is always active after initial recognition of the PLC input signal. In event of this monitoring being accidently activated through erroneous triggering of the PLC input signals, deletion is only possible through the input of M88 + H57 and simultaneous activation of the [Rapid] key.
