Code 701733: Warning! The Y axis did not switch over to the direct measuring system

During machining (G1 and spindle speed) it was noticed that the machine has been fitted with a direct measuring system, but the respective axis had not changed over to the direct measuring system. Changeover normally takes place automatically during movement of the axis, but this did not happen for some reason. Feed Stop after end of program (Program end with M02, M30 or change work area / table side) The machining program can now be continued, if needed, with FEED START. In this case it is important to monitor the quality of the workpieces, as machining is carried out with the indirect measuring system, which is not so accurate. Use the error messages to find out at which axis the measuring system was not changed over. Possible causes: The axis has not yet moved over the reference mark of the direct measuring system. The reference mark should have been crossed after a single movement of the axis (approx. 100 mm) and the changeover to the direct measuring system should have taken place. The machine can be used again after this. The direct measuring system is either dirty or defective. The machine can be used again after rectification of the fault and checking of the machine zero point. After the machine has been switched on the axis will run first with the indirect measuring system. If, during movement of the axis, the reference mark of the direct measuring system is recognised, the changeover to the direct measuring system will take place automatically.
