Issue Description & Safety Warning
The Chiron Siemens-Control CNC has triggered a critical Minimal lubrication: Flow monitor alarm. Immediate attention from a qualified operator or maintenance technician is required to prevent secondary damage to the equipment or spoiled parts during the manufacturing cycle. Always ensure standard safety and LOTO procedures are followed before accessing electrical cabinets.
Official Troubleshooting Steps
Minimal lubrication was activated ( M501 M516 ), but the MMS system" signals an error (abort message). The corresponding cause of error is displayed on the "MMS system housing". 3 - No medium FLOW The message appears if the device does not signal "ready for operation" within 1 second. The effect during machining (G01) is immediate (within 200 ms), and when moving in "rapid feed" (G00) after 10 seconds. Feed Stop and Spindle Stop (with retracting time) 1. Eliminate the cause of error on the "MMS system". 2. Check PLC input signals MINIMUM LUBRICATION OUT DATA BCD 1,2,4,8 from MMS system. 4. Once the MMS system signals OK again, press the [FEED START], [CYCLE START] or [RESET] key. Message is cleared and the machining program can be continued.
